Sedona Asia is a technology consulting firm. We deliver AI projects end to end: transformation, custom products, autonomous agents, and agentic software that runs in production for clients across Asia. We're growing fast, and we're looking for a senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to cover our offices in the region and be a key partner in that growth. It's a broad, cross-functional role: you own HR, from hiring to day-to-day operations. Ideally you've already scaled operations and recruitment in a startup, and you're comfortable carrying the full scope on your own.
What you’ll do
- 01HR Operations: Own day-to-day HR operations across the Hong Kong and Bangkok offices, including onboarding, contracts, policy compliance, and employee relations.
- 02Compliance: Navigate the different employment law requirements in Hong Kong and Thailand and keep both offices compliant.
- 03Process: Build and improve HR processes and documentation as the business scales.
- 04Talent Acquisition: Run full-cycle recruitment for both offices, from sourcing through offer management.
- 05AI-Enabled Hiring: Use our AI-driven ATS and prescreening workflow to speed up and improve hiring decisions.
- 06Pipeline: Build a talent pipeline for recurring or hard-to-fill roles instead of starting from zero each time.
- 07Strategy: Partner with leadership on workforce planning, retention, performance management, and org design as we grow.
- 08Business Development Support: Support client-facing conversations where HR or staffing expertise adds value to winning or servicing business. A supporting contribution, not a revenue-owning responsibility.
What you’ll bring
- 8+ years of experience as an HRBP or senior HR generalist, with exposure to both HR operations and talent acquisition, not just one.
- Comfortable working independently and owning outcomes without a large support team.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools in HR or recruiting work; we already automate a lot of our daily HR work with AI and expect you to work that way too, not just be familiar with the idea.
- Highly motivated and task-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity in a smaller, fast-moving company.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to have
- French language proficiency (a big plus).
The offer
A senior, high-ownership role with real influence over how HR is built across two markets.
Direct exposure to leadership and business strategy, not just HR administration.
A company actively investing in AI tools and workflows for HR and recruiting.
Competitive salary, based on experience.
